Another Great Race!
Thanks to Runners, Volunteers, Sponsors and Community.
Great weather, great runners and an enthusiastic crowd made for a wonderful 4th Annual Mississippi Blues Marathon & Half-Marathon. It was a great way to celebrate the birthday of Mississippi native Elvis Presley and to celebrate the Blues! Thanks y’all, for making this a great time.

Many Runners Qualify for Boston
At marathons across the country, an average of 11% of runners qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. Our course may be tough, but apparently a lot of our runners are tougher because 15% of this year's Blues Marathon finishers qualified for Boston! Congratulations to all the Boston Qualifiers. We are proud to be a part of you reaching your goal of running the Boston Marathon!

We served as the RRCA Championship Race!
The Mississippi Blues Marathon was the 2011 Road Runners Club of America Regional Championship race, and the runners turned out in droves! We want to thank the RRCA and its members for participating in our race.

Want to run back-to-back marathons? Well, here's your chance! The Mississippi Blues Marathon is partnering with the First Light Marathon in Mobile, Alabama. A special, double registration rate is available for hearty souls (with hearty soles) wishing to complete both events on the weekend of January 8-9, 2010. Participating runners will receive a 20 percent discount on entry fees (applied automatically on second registration). Read the press release.

We are the RRCA Championship Race!
The Mississippi Blues Marathon has been awarded the 2011 Road Runners Club of America Regional Championship designation! As participants in the 2011 RRCA Championship Series, Mississippi Blues Marathon runners will be eligible for RRCA distinctions in addition to prizes awarded by the Mississippi Blues Marathon and Half-Marathon. Shake, Rattle & Run!
Organizers of the 4th Annual Mississippi Blues Marathon and Half-Marathon announced that they have confirmed a partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises. The 2011 race will take place on January 8th, Elvis Presley’s 76th birthday, and thanks to this agreement, the event is sure to be a hunk, a hunk of Elvis fun! Read the official press release here!

MS Blues Marathon & Half-Marathon Registration Open
Registration has opened online for all races that are a part of the Mississippi Blues Marathon & Half-Marathon. This includes the 26.2-mile marathon, the 13.1 mile half-marathon, wheelchair divisions of both of those races, the team relay and the Kids' "Marathon" - a 1-mile fun run. Click the Runner's Registration link at the top of this page, and you can complete your registration now for the January 8, 2011 races.
