MS Blues Marathon

Volunteer for the Blues!

From now through Race Day, the Mississippi Blues Marathon will require the services of more than 1,000 volunteers to help us produce a world-class event for the runners, their families, the spectators, and the City of Jackson.

Volunteers are essential to the success of our event. They are critical to producing a safe, organized, and fun race. As a volunteer for the Mississippi Blues Marathon, you will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to your community, represent Jackson to runners from all over the country and beyond, and share your skills and abilities.

There are opportunities for groups as well as individuals. If your group is interested in volunteering please contact us for instructions on how to get your group registered. Community service hours are available for school groups.

For additional information, please email or call the marathon office at 601-624-7882.

Volunteer Training

Volunteer training sessions are essential for an effective volunteer crew. Our training will help you understand the event, get comfortable with your particular assignment, meet other volunteers, and ask any questions you may have regarding your volunteer assignment.

There will be two volunteer training sessions offered in the month before the race. Volunteers will be strongly encouraged to attend one of these trainings. Sessions will last approximately one hour. Group leaders may attend on behalf of their group. We will email details about training closer to the event.
